When words have no answers….

You say goodbye to me with a kiss and I have reassurance. You say hello to me with a kiss and I have comfort.

The most popular photograph of National Geographic….

Sharbat Gula was photographed in 1985 for National Geographic magazine.

She was just 12 years old when the photograph was taken and living as a refugee in Pakistan.

In 2002, Sharbat was located and shown the photograph for the first time.

The third wheel….

Nothing sharpens sight like envy” ~ Thomas Fuller

I spent a year in that town one Sunday….

A man searches all over the world for what he needs and when he returns home he finds it.

During your life you will only fall in love 4 times….

Plenty of fish? Apparently the waters are empty and there are not that many fish in the sea.

New research reports the average person will only fall in love four times in their life.

* 4 in 10 people report settling for 2nd best love in their life.

* 61 per cent regret letting the love of their life getting away.

* 77 percent believe you can’t help who you fall in love with.

Dream Big….

“Dream no small dream; it lacks magic. Dream large. Then make the dream real.” D. Douglas

Let’s say goodbye….

for the hundredth time and tomorrow do it again.

Your Saturday morning PinUp….

If Spring is in the air….

then turkey love can’t be far behind.

Not at all unusual to see wild turkeys around these parts.

This morning I saw this one walking in my field and headed straight to the Chicken Coop.

Couldn’t figure out at first what the attraction was.

Then it hit me when I saw my two turkeys-Jefferson and Davis-putting on quite the display.

Seems they have attracted a new sweetheart.

“Now put your clothes back on….

and I’ll buy you an ice cream.” James Bond

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movies.

On Oct. 26, 2012, the new 007 adventure “Skyfall” is set to be released.

Sean Connery and Daniel Craig….my two favorite Bond’s.

and here is the new Bond girl for the upcoming movie Skyfall.

Who broke Adele’s heart….

I certainly didn’t mean to and barely knew her.

Just one date with her. We met at Starbucks.

A bit over-dramatic I think-especially after she goes and writes a whole album about me.

Now I can’t even get a date because I am known as “the guy who broke Adele’s heart.”

Guess I should have called her back.

The storm….

I remember so well and so long ago began under a clear summer sky.

It caught me unprepared and by surprise, almost like a tornado that suddenly appears.

Despite the intensity, I stood there watching it strutting by and touching down in my path.

Then it moved on, disappeared…or did I?

This time I am going to be a storm chaser.

They shall not grow old….

as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary, or the years condemn them.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We shall remember them~R. Binyon

Today is Anzac Day in Australia. I had the privilege and opportunity to participate in an Anzac parade and ceremony two years ago today.

Anzac (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) celebrations take place in communities throughout Australia-remembering the comradeship and sacrifices of the Australian military.

This photo is of an Australian soldier I took during the ceremony in Sydney, Australia.

I can remember when….

Does anyone remember these notes we would send to one another?

“Once upon a time, it was…simple. If you liked somebody, you let ‘em know. And if you didn’t, you let ‘em know. One way or another, you knew where you stood. But as you get older, communication gets more…complicated.”

The Wonder Years

A light in a woman’s eyes….

speaks louder than words.

Eyes say a thousand words with just a gaze….and will tell what the heart feels. Eyes have but one language throughout the world.

….even when they are closed.

It’s life isn’t it….

Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time.

I feel my “Sparta” coming on….

and it’s only Monday morning…..this should be a very interesting week.

Be wise.

Forget the past.

Stay focused.

Don’t Ask.

Face the present.

Carpe Diem.

We are mortals.

Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone….

You’ve got to show them that you care.

Good Sunday morning to you….

It’s is an extra dividend when you like the girl you’ve fallen in love with. Clark Gable

Yes we may look strange….

but this was part of “my gang growing up.

Just a few of my cousins and I wearing the same crazy jeans genes.

Yes we were crazy, yes we were strange, but hey it was in our blood.

If you had crazy cousins you had crazy times.

Some of my cousins by the dozens.

Everything’s coming up roses….

….and Azaleas.

It is April and seems everyone is either working out in the yard or taking pictures of their Spring flowers.

Here is a photo taken today in my garden before the rain.

Azaleas in the front-’Knockout’ Shrub Roses in the back.

Your Saturday Morning Pinup….

No days are so full than….

those we go back to.

There are a few moments in your life when you are truly and completely happy.

You remember to give thanks and this was one of those moments.

Celebrating a Birthday with my twin sister.

Manners….

“You can get through life with bad manners, but it’s easier with good manners.” L. Gish
