Sparks from the anvil while exploring life and America's treasures-South of the Mason Dixon line

Life was easier when….

Apple and Blackberry were just fruits.

It is that time of year where I live to pick some sweet blackberries. These fields are located on the 138 acre working farm called the Chattooga Belle Farm.

This is a favorite place of mine and is located nearby in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

You can pick to your heart’s content in the shadows of these mountains. The calmness and the beauty you will find here are free.

  1. I have great childhood memories of picking them and eating them on the spot. I even liked them red and not quite ripe, they were tart.

Hope you post a photo of your cobbler. It sounds great. I always thought you were a crisp kinda guy.
