Sparks from the anvil while exploring life and America's treasures-South of the Mason Dixon line

Friendships become more precious with time….

and the roots between old friends are forever tangled.

There is comfort in having friends who knew you when you were young and a recent study seems to bear this out.

It was found that people fifty years and older certainly enjoyed talking and doing things with their neighbors. But it also found the strongest memories and the most emotional was when they were remembering old friends-even though some hadn’t seen those people in several decades.

I totally agree with that….After recently posting some “old” photos on facebook, I heard from many old friends from my teen years, and we all were taken back to those priceless years with some great memories that will always be special to us. :)
