Sparks from the anvil while exploring life and America's treasures-South of the Mason Dixon line

We danced the slow ones….

whenever we could and wherever we could.

You needed that slow dance moment-or the whole evening was for nothing.

If you are dancing like the photo below, you are definitely not slow dancing.

One always had to be ready for a song like “Unchained Melody” or a Steve Perry song.

And hopefully…with someone who didn’t talk about some other guy the whole time.

The first time being careful not to step on her toes.

Learning to tip-toe back and forth like a pendulum on a clock.

Eventually we I got better.

My dance options expanded and I learned that these moments were not just reserved for High School Gyms or a dance hall.

The slow dances taught me some things along the way and gave some valuable life long lessons.

Slow down, enjoy, listen, reach out….the music doesn’t last forever.
