  1. OMG. I knew that they were becoming a thing of the past, but I actually didn’t know that they were officially “dead.” I know that kids no longer learn the traditional way of typing, which is sad. Especially because everyone needs to type nowadays. I once dropped an old manual metal clunker of a typewriter on my foot and broke it. I miss that thing.

    • Ouch….I bet that hurt. I still have an old typewriter i keep as a reminder, always thought they look cool.

    My grandfather wrote poetry and wrote poems for each of us when we were born. His finished product was always typewritten with his eloquent signature at the end. I still have my poems.

    I had a job and my typewritter was an IBM Selectric…and it was red. That red made me so happy.
