There has been many memorable versions of this song and a few transcendent versions. This one qualifies along with Whitney Houston, Jose Feliciano and Jimmy Hendrix.
I clearly remember listening to it way back then as it was sung. The game that followed, just an after thought.
A year later Marvin Gaye would be dead, shot by his own father.

This was definately memorable, but I still think that Whitney Houston sung it the best. Marvin Gaye did have a beautiful voice though.
