and though I was in High School when I first saw this movie, I clearly remember watching Olivia Hussey on the big screen adaption of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Franco Zefferilli’s masterpiece. It was both romantic and tragic.
A story of a guy, a girl and some obstacles.
Olivia Hussey was just 15 years old when she starred in this movie and for a 15 year old, Hussey did a remarkable job portraying Juliet.
She later married Dean Martin’s son who was killed while piloting his F-4 Phantom fighter jet for the National Guard.
I sat in the dark theater and at least in my mind, I was her Romeo.
Does anyone remember when they were 15 years old and did they have a Romeo?
